With school starting I have been extremely busy ! Between Dr. appointments, school shopping, and lesson planning I've been going non-stop. Because of this, Justin has become aware of me having to leave. Thus, causing anxiety which has lead to meltdowns.
Not only has there been an increase in the meltdowns. If I just walk up the hallway or towards the bathroom he will start running after me yelling and making noises. If I shut the door on him, he will start crying.
I am very glad that now with school back in session, I do not have to leave him and run around much anymore !

What's Been Going on Lately
I am so very proud of Justin, and the progress he has made over the last couple months. He's like a different little boy ! He hasn't got to go outside much due to the crazy combination of rain and hot weather. He's very happy inside too.
Since the removal of the gate he continues to be very well behaved, most of the time. I have discovered that he cannot have any red drink, it causes him to get very hyper. He always asks for "red."
Potty training has been halted for now. He has stopped spitting his juice or water into other containers, thank goodness. That phase went on longer than I would have liked, lol ! #autism

Summer's Over
I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted ! We have gotten back into the routine of school. Justin is doing great ! I have opted to school him at home, but I am working with our local school system for several programs he's eligible for. One of which is having a special education teacher come to the house, and teach him. He also is able to have him speech and occupational therapist come to the home as well.
I find this to be the best course for him, as he is most comfortable at home.
